could pick up one of the automotive plug fuses and then wire that into the fuse relay instead of using the non-insulated solid fuse that looks like a wrench, found I was having issues because of that on my 83 cb650 along with loose fuses in the fuse box...

just my .02
Eventually I'll get something that runs, but until then I'll wrench until I make it run.

Just go and get a 30 amp pigtail fuse and holder. Put 1 end under each post and tighten down.

Yes that would be a good conversion.

Best way to splice it in would be to solder it in, but I'm gonna guess here that you aren't familiar with that, so Plan B would be to use a crimp connector, also available in a kit from Radio Shack or Menards/Home Depot/most-hardware-stores.

Nice save guys, that will cure his problem and remove the need to upgrade to a bladed fitted system, hmmm might try this myself as the old solid "spanner" looking fuses are very hard to find these days.

I put one of the pigtail fuses on mine, until I got a new SS that came with an intact fuse.

If your sure it's a carb problem; it's ignition,

yeah, I was really happy my new starter solenoid had blade fuses instead of the little 'spanner' type.  they seemed to be unobtanium from anywhere but Honda... and who wants to give them any more money? ::)
