This Sandcast has had a chrome kit put on it, It includes the rocker cover, slightly pitted of course. The right side motor mounts, the 9hole clutch cover plate, and the 3 usual left side engine covers. If not for that, I'd assume the engine has never been out. None are in perfect condition.
I'm wondering what effect that has on the percieved originality of a sandy and what problems are associated with removing the chrome from the aluminum parts.
Edit, I later met the son of the original owner, he took the parts to Rock Island Il. to be chromed. His Dad wasn't pleased and I think it cost him the right to ride the bike. The short story is these are the original parts, chromed.
