  The K0 swingarm and axle adjusters arrived from mr. monkeyclaw, mr C's parts or whatever off of Ebay. The swingarm is pretty decent for $70 and the chrome on the adjusters is really good.
  The engine is another matter, the interior is pretty dried up and there is a lot of varnish on everything. I may just clean the cases and swap in most of the internals from a different engine.

 I got the trans mainshaft removed from the clutch. This is the first clutch I've had that still had the K0 clutch ring on it. The frictions are trashed, I soaked the steels to see if they will clean up. In the past an orbital sander has worked on them with good results.
 My 5 gallon bucket of PB blaster solvent will get a test. so far so good. I soaked the bad oil pump parts to see if there are any parts to salvage. I had one before with a different part of the casting broken so maybe I can re-use this one to make one more good pump.

I was able to pressure wash the oil galleries and get it 80% clean. It appears to have some Permatex on the cases but the mud and tar mostly came off the outside and the whatever was in there is mostly clean now.

I remember taking two engines to an independent do-it-yourself sprayer car wash with good pressure;I had the car in the bay and pulled the engines out of the trunk,along with the can of foaming Gunk and a brush which I got real busy with fast. I was able to throw away the Gunk can and hide the brush in my car trunk before the guy came out.
I was in there for about 20 minutes and the owner/attendant came to 'check up on me' and caught me washing the two engines;the man had a 'fit' about it.  ::) :D

The place that I went to,the guy was upset because I was taking too long;he was hoping to get more customers in that bay and thought I was causing him to lose business.
I found a bigger place to go(Greensburg,Pa.)after that;he had a legitimate gripe because it was a small place on a country road,local people and only had 3 bays and the weather was supposed to get icy that night..
I don't want to be near stressed-out folks anyway.

I'm lucky enough that there's a place near me that's almost fully automated- it even advertises there's no time limit.  10 bucks, and if the sprayer times out, you just hit the button again and keep going.

Did my engine cases and hit the Jeep too while I was at it.   ;D

I'd do the 10 buck no limit wash, my truck would have gotten washed too.

 I'm still cleaning the cases and preparing to move all of the internals from another engine to this crankcase. I'm going to clean a sweet set of rods and check the bearings after getting the main bearings plasti-gauged. I got a low mile oil pump and another transmission set aside.

Do you use a pressure washer to clean greasy engines before disassembly sometimes ?

I have an old Honda pressure washer that puts a car wash to shame. Hooked up to a hot water tap, it works miracles. I have an old sheet of 1/2” plywood that must go under the parts or the grass, weeds and mud goes everywhere! Any small parts get screwed to the wood first.

 I've toyed with the idea of a hot water tap, maybe a pair of ball valves to switch back and forth from cold to hot.  The best idea would be a wall hydrant for each, that way I wouldn't need to run pipe from the crawl space into the kitchen sink cabinet and back down.
 I have washed them before disassembly but I'm trying to not re-enact my hernia so I put this one on the bike lift with my chain hoist and took it apart there. Sometimes I just work on the floor for the sake of getting the exercise.

 This trans was in a box, I noticed the rings around a couple of the gears, does that make it an F transmission? The final gear has the same tooth count as the one that was in it. It's been in the solvent tank but still needs to be cleaned.
 An old shift fork was rubbed pretty bad also. I need to use the ones that came with this trans if I use it.

Here early (left) vs late (right)
The early one got the late final gear with new bearings after photos were taken to match the later trans that engine will get. Higher revs on 4-5.

 I have installed a backcut F2 trans in a K6 case, so am a little schooled in the differences but that engine is still on a stand waiting for a cylinder and pistons that may hold up to the turbocharger. Too many projects get in the way.

  I've tried some different trans parts, I got a couple from a mini sprint car guy. The downside is it isn't one or two complete matching transmissions. I've been able to get it to go through the shift sequence a couple times but fifth is sometimes an issue. I have the original 1970 narrow path shift drum but was trying a later one, I may go back to the original and try it. It seems like the center shift fork is hanging up, it keeps trying to move the shaft with it. I cleaned and lubed it but not good enough apparently.  One mainshaft cluster had one ringed gear, it had the same count as a different non ringed one but the book has a different number of teeth.
 I called a wasted day and came inside.

 It was missing a thrust washer (found on the bench) and haven't put the neutral safety switch in it yet. Those would probably make it shift properly.

 I returned #1 K0 back to its wire wheel stock exhaust condition, it was a former BOM winner with Lester mags. It has the proper K0 front hub and early rotor and a 2-hole rear hub although riding on new spokes and DID rims. The wrinkly seat is an original. It got new BT46 tires this time.
  Building these wheels took a long time collecting the parts, and a covid project finding rims and re-lacing them. I finally put new tires on them and installed them.
