I agree. I think after all of this GM should just whither and die already.

I mean sure.... I'm a Ford guy, but I'd say the same if they made grossly bad business decisions after the Gov't stepped in.

Eh... screw 'em. I had a '95 SC2 that threw a rod '98. It was just a bit out of warranty and they wouldn't do anything for me unless I had the receipt for every oil change, which was impossible considering I bought the car from my step-mom and once I had it I did them all myself. They were more than happy to try to sell me a car though. I ended buying a new Pontiac that was actually made by Toyota and I couldn't be happier with it.

The buick is based on the aztek chassis. I had an aztek and aside from a little underpowered, it was a really nice ride and great in the winter. I had the versatrak model.

I thought the Aztec was a design "joke" amongst the engineers there.
One of those, "Let's make the ugliest ute we can just for #$%*s and giggles" type of thing.

It was different yes but I thought it was nice. Interior was great. Besides, people drive porche 911s and I think those are ugly.

My sister and her husband bought a Saturn Ion in 2005...

In the past 100,000 miles it has gone through a bad catalytic converter, 3 ignition switches due to faulty engineering in the factory security system (when it gets cold outside the switch goes bad and the car won't "recognize" the key), bad swingarm bushings at 40k miles and a worn out clutch at 70k miles.

My brother in law says GM can suck it.  They're buying Japanese next time.

Hehe, just givin ya a hard time  ;)

Some guy I went to RIT with had a bagged Saturn 4 door of some sort. He would drop that sucker to the ground and throw sparks everywhere...then it blew a headgasket...then the water pump went...then he broke part of the unibody with his stupid suspension setup and the extra stress it put on a very floppy car to begin with. Granted that's not a very good example because he beat the piss out of that car...and obviously it wasn't designed with an air bag suspension in mind lol.

The only saturn i've ever been vaguely interested in is the Sky Redline...but I don't fit in it very well, and even a brand new one i test drove already had creaks and rattles galore. Much better looking than it's Pontiac Solstice sister car though.

Was that because the Redline had a Honda engine?

Good riddance...

Wow, that's cold!
How many Saturn plants are in Asia NONE
How many Asian plants in America?
ALL OF THEM!
Read the writing on the wall  and you might not be so giddy about it.
Depending where YOU work, YOU may be next.

By the way, just out of curiosity, what kind of car do YOU drive?
I have two Lincolns an MKZ and MKX. Ford owns Mazda or part of it, so the AWD systems are Mazda. On my wife's
"American" MKZ the final assembly point was Mexico. If I had bought a Honda, some American working in the plant would be putting food on the table. There are almost no National companies. The largest selling car in China is Chevrolet.

Kawasaki is the only Train Manufacturer selling Railcars in the US with their two Train Plants in the US. Go figure. It is a World economy, get used to it.
