Chain rubbing on swingarm issues... Idears?
« on: October 01, 2009, 08:56:41 pm »
So, tell me what your remedies are for chain hitting the pivot tube of the swingarm. With longer shocks and a fatter chain, combined they make the chain hit the swingarm. I know most would say put shorter shocks, but I am not going to.  What are the remedies?  Should I bolt on a delrin chain slider like a dirt bike at the pivot tube? Or should I put some kind of roller on there. Any ideas welcome

maybe do like they do on dirtbikes and put a strip of Delrin or a similar material where the chain is hitting.

Set the shocks to lowest ride height (if not done already) and keep chain tension within specs. Might minimise, even eliminate the issue!
