bike jack won't stay up.
« on: October 02, 2009, 11:48:50 am »
I picked up a used jack......................... off of craigslist. It's a torin big red or something like that. Anyhow, when I pump it up it goes up, but doesn't stay. I press the pressure relief pedal (the one I think your supposed to used to lower the jack) off and on/on and off, but doesn't seem to do anything.

I got the jack for 20 bux, so it's not that bad if I can rig something to get it working.

Any suggestions guys/gals? Thanks!

If a seal is bad, there are people who rebuild them.

The release valve on mine is adjustable, perhaps yours is also and is maladjusted?
