i am having to spend the night with my wife at the hopital, why you might ask? the night nurse on her floor and wing really dont have a grasp on the english language and it worries me that she doesnt seem to understand when told things like "that picline has already been flushed with heparin" just to have her continue with what she was doing, fortunately the supervisor for that floor popped in at that moment and told this nitwit to stop. i could go on and on but you folks get the idea i imagine. same kind of thing happened when i was in the hospital with my broken neck. i know full well how hard nurses work and the stresses they must be under but there is NO excuse for hiring a nurse that has problems understanding even the simplest of things, having to repeat myself several times in the simplest of terms,almost like trying to teach a 3 year old. i know a few words of german but nowhere near enough to communicate with this nurse! i'm also not trying to sound like a bigot, thats about the last words you could use to describe me but in a job like this understanding instructions can be the difference between life and death! i havent slept since tuesday night and i'm starting to feel a bit ragged now. see you folks later.
