Ok, I know that I should have waited until I had a manual...
but I didn't.
I took on the task of splitting the case on my CB350f motor
and I am sure there must be an easier way to do it.
The chain cam was hooked onto the bottom of the crankshaft
and the two bolts that remove the chain cam cannot be removed
until the case is open. My neighbor and I tried furiously to remove
the case until we finally resorted to removing the clutch, c clip,
bearings, gear shaft, gears, etc.
After about an hour of scratching our heads with our dirty, greasy
heads we finally managed to get it a part.
I'm sure we must have worked bass ackwards.
I hope it goes back together much easier.
Also, does anyone know if the hinge on the chain cam is supposed
to move freely/easily? Because the one we took off was very stiff
and does not move easily...I'm thinking that might have been part
of the problem.
