Found some inappropriate emails on my 16 year olds computer after a close friend of hers spoke to a local Peer support person, and they called us. Wife went to RCMP ........nothing......
Even though he had gone on school grounds to meet her day before yesterday.

Email searches, Name searches, Googled, Yahoo, phone books etc
I found his address, his wifes name, their phone number etc.
Went over last night on the ferry to Nanaimo, handed out a few fliers in the neighbourhood the with the email extreme porn references that said this is your neighbour!!!!!!!!!!!

Found his house knocked on the door and introduced myself, had a big friend with me as well.

Dude comes to the door, "35 years old" in a bath robe.....to sad to even beat up!
I hear his wife say "hey who's at the door?" Through the window I say "Hi there Kathrine"...she comes to the door and I hand her the email and ask that she read it and I will wait outside......... 20 seconds later she screamed! and it was on.

She ran over and started beating on this guy all the way back to the bedroom and told him to pack his bags, she called her parents who showed up 15 mins later. Durring that time I found myself hugging her at the bottom of the steps as she shook uncontrollably.

I wanted to #$%* him up, but it was a lot worse than I thought it would be.
I'm glad the wife now has a clue, and he will now curtail his behaviour. He's been thrown out of his house. This info will now come up any time the police run his name.

I worry about their 7 year old daughter................

I've started reaching out to his face book "friends" (not the single guys), just the couples that know both Husband and wife. That's just the begining............

His life just had a grenade stuffed up its ass.

P.S. I do understand the law some what. Everything I am writing or saying can be proven with a clean email/msg trail. He also admitted to all this in front of his wife.

As for me and mine, I told him if I ever heard of him making contact with anyone in my family again I would #### him.

this may sound like a totally barbaric thing to say but, death is too easy, this kind of scumbag coward needs to suffer, suffer for a long long time. i have no tolerance at all for pedophiles and those that prey on women and kids. i just wont initiate a violent act EXCEPT in the case of a woman, kid or otherwise person less able to defend themselves. damn, this is not my daughter but with this forum being alot like one big family, i feel almost as if this has gone on with a blood member of my family.

Keep in mind that he has not been convicted of anything in court so don't take it too far and give him any grounds for coming after you for harassment. You seem like a level headed guy but don't let your emotions cloud your judgement.

I don't even want to imagine what this will be like with my daughters. Ugh! I guess a beginner's lesson on dealing with strangers? (Internet or in real life.) I can do the ol' sittin' outside on the porch with the shotgun method, but it's gotten more complicated these days.

my wife and i discussed this incident this evening and she said to me (remember i have no experience raising kids, she does) that if we shelter the kids TOO much, they may end up lacking in "street smarts" for lack of a better expression AND she might also rebel, if you try to shelter her too much. i cant imagine what it's like to raise a kid in this day and age. makes me glad that all my kids are 4 legged and hairy and eat out of bowls on the floor.

I can't say how glad and relieved you were able to intervene! And my admiration for how you handled it is also beyond words. I also have to agree with srust58's comments.

I am not a father but just reading your story gives me a chill at what might have been, and the thought about the children not as fortunate.

You are a great example of parents, and networks, working to protect kids from monsters. or, monsters posing as losers.

one family got lucky, ex cop targets one girl, acting as a 15yr old boy
in a month he knew where she went to school and when her parents were gone
the road she walked down from school
walked to the parents house and told them how he found so much out
the girl never knew she was talking to a 60yr old guy
that family was lucky

Hey Seaweb that's what fathers did for their families when I was a kid, now they may have been a lot more violent, but your solution will work nicely and if it comes to that explain to said creep that you've got an extended family in different provinces and states that night come up with different solutions to him.
I for one have a truly evil mind and it needs exercise on vermin every once in a while.

Wow, I don't know what I would have done in your situaton.

Cops take too long to do anything worthwhile, and who knows what could happen when you pop up on someone's doorstep. Tough decisions.

One of "ex friends" on Facebook just told me dude is pissed that I handed out a ton of fliers with some of his rude emails out to all of his neighbours that night. Said idiot is thinking of suing me. Wouldn't that be grand

His "ex friend" has kids the same age........... and also told me where he works.

Now, do I get him fired or does that just #$%* up his wife and kid even more?

Thanks for the support guys. This has really been a head trip.
P.S. I have no fear of any reprisals from this wimp. No guns here..........
