I am not sure about Canadian law, but be careful about "Stalking" laws. It can turn back on you.

His wifes brother has been in touch with me and I am just trying to keep him informed of what I'm getting from other x-friends. I have not had contact with his wife or neighbours since the other night nor will I.

Yep, that's a real concern Bobby, and considering that at age 16 Derek's daughter is over the legal age of consent in Canada, that creep isn't actually breaking any laws, so he could sue for harrassment, I presume? Cheers, Terry.

I did not know about the age of consent, here it is 17. Harassment usually speaks to something continuing. Nonetheless I think the pervert got the message. The consent thing is a problem.

There is no State in the US under 16. NY is 17, and California, North Dakota, and Florida set it at 18. Florida was a surprise since everything goes there. I find 16 a bit young. I may be getting old.
We set a lot of laws here State by State. Which confuses the rest of the World, but we make it work somehow.

In my way of thinking a man has a duty to protect his family and i this case his daughter from some filthy pervert. This type of thinking is probably kept me from ever being selected for a Jury even though they drag me in every four years.

One Judge asked me what I meant, and I told him "I know what the Law is, I know what he did, I wanna know why he did it to see if he was justified." The Judge called me an Anarchist and had me removed from the Courthouse.

Since when? I have been abroad for 25 years but when I left it was 13 in Delaware and a couple of others! Of course when I left 18 year olds could buy beer. Times change. There was a guy here in NC over 30 years ago, that had a 16 year old daughter dating a 30 something guy. He begged the guy to leave his daughter alone but the guy refused. So one night dad marches him out to the woods at gunpoint and ties him up and horsewhips him. Dad got jail time and his daughter ran off with the scumbag! Justice?

Having helped raise two girls it still amazes me about the teenage years there seems to be a point were they go into heat and the things they drag home at that time would astound and terrify you, you say to yourself god that would dilute that gene pool and if you raise any objection it will drive them into the arms of whatever dreg of humanity is the flavour of the week. I had one of the "boyfriends" tell me in no uncertain terms the Hitler was right, he was a hockey goalie on a local team so naturally I gave him the nickname "Slapshot" because I told him he'd taken to many pucks to the head. Other daughter had french canadian boy friend who thought it was macho to not use protection I told him I didn't give a #$%* whether Pope or God told him to be fruitful and multiply because I'd get to him before they did and I was a lot less forgiving. Surprisingly every one survived although those were dark days for a father.

my step-daughter had problems with a stalker back when i first moved here. 4 1/2 years in prison and a promise from me that there woundlt be enough left of him to bury if he came around agaiin convinced him to not only leave katie alone, but to move to another state once his parole was over.

I haven't posted here in 4 days because I've been trying to sort things out around here and not concern myself with the PED.

I have received a few emails from some of his ex facebook friends offering any assistance they can, but I already wrote the guy off.

Tonight I received this from his wife:
" I would like a copy of the emails and text messages please. I need to know!!! I am sorry for rehashing this but I need to know. Please. You can send them through email if you can. If not can you please send them to me in the mail. Please let me know."

My response was:

"Your ex husband still has access to this email address, and I don't want to get in a jam over stalking or threatening in court, so............
I will tell you that the phone that the majority of these messages were sent from has been opened by a forensic computer professional and the report will be in my hands soon. I had to ship it out to break the codes.

I would need to know your ex husbands text# from his phone to make sure what ever info I gave you was reliable as a sent message received here. THIS IS CRITACLE Before I gave you anything. I don't want to make any mistakes as I'm sure you would expect as well.

I have many texts in one of the computers in the house, but I would never email anything of the type to you.
My wife and I would be willing to meet with you once these obstacles were out of the way."
