While Teflon is a great product with excellent self-lubricating properties, I'd think that it's too soft for swingarm bushes, on a big heavy bike.  (but I'm prepared to be proved wrong..............) ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

In theory great, but cannot beat the old bronze bushings in practice.

Better sorry for failing then for the lack of trying.

Teflon IS too soft for this application.  Bronze is ideal, and I have made some bushings from Delrin and posted some pics before.  I'll see if I can dig up that post.

i think hondaman does a swing arm service... not positive though check his thoughts page in the FAQ and he talks about changing them to handle more like a modern sport bike but he said use oil impegnated bronze ones... as far as im concerned what he says goes....

J&P Cycles sells Delrin swingarm bushings for big twin Harleys.

In all likelihood the "teflon" bushes are not soft pure teflon, but are some sort of filled or reinforced teflon product.  You can get glass-filled, carbon filled, even 60% bronze filled.
