Name that Brake fixing
« on: October 03, 2009, 07:55:02 AM »
I need to replace some of the banjo fixings with 90 degree and 45 degree fitings and cannot tell what these are, definately not metric, the thread is a lot finer. The calipers have been drilled and helicoiled as well so they aint standard.
Here are some pics.

I don't think that they are Venhill or Goodridge, I cannot find fittings that have the little tube that fits within the brake line.

Can anyone help identify these please?

They look like AN fittings.

When you make brakelines from scratch, that what the ends look like.... good part, you can shorten them..

Thanks for the feedback. So does that mean that as long as I get the correct thread, I can get end fittings that do not have thin tube on the end?

Something like this?

No, the tube goes into the teflon of the hose and the bevel at the end forces the brass nipple (visible in your hose end pic) into the nut portion.. as you tighten it, the seal is formed.
