Does anyone know where to buy one of those british style brass covers/screen that go on the rear drum after you cut hole?

I think it is PERFORATED PLATE OR PERF PLATE

might be able to get small qty if you cannot find it.

you can get it at plumbing supply places i think. i dont know as i'd want to open up the brake drum to the elements on a street ridden motorcycle though. it looks kind of cool but i'm more of a function over form kind of person.

What should i ask for a the plumbing store ? do you think Lowes would have something like it?  I agree with you on the opening up the drum issue, but i'm a "fair" weather rider at best. If any water gets in it , it will be from a garden hose. LOL

The stuff I got is steel, not plated.. it is used for speaker covers.

I would worry less about stuff getting in with screens on, and HOPE that maybe the brake dust gets OUT & IMPROVES braking..

Brass forms real easy, take a whack at making a "custom" piece.

I'm pretty sure everyone of those I've seen is one off.  A well stocked ace hardware will have every thing you need to make that.
