Tracking a Rebuild
« on: October 01, 2009, 01:49:19 PM »
This winter I plan on tearing down my 750 and cleaning and rebuilding with some modifications (don't worry, there will be photos). I want to track everything in a database or spreadsheet before I start and during. Currently I'm just tracking maintenance in a spreadsheet, but I would like to be able to track parts I'm looking at and parts I've ordered and so on. I'm probably going to use Bento on my Mac, but does anyone have any other suggestions or even a template?  ;)

These are the fields I'm going to track. Are there any I am missing?

Ha! I've got the receipts for everything I've done to the bike since I got it in June but I haven't had the nerve to add it all up yet.

No matter how obvious a parts origin and function seems, bag it and mark it. All the parts for my build were painstakingly bagged and cataloged, and I still have an extra part of unknown origin. Its enough to drive you nuts.

If you do track all the cost, don't let the wife know.  :o
