Yeah, I've got a link to an ebay listing and need to copy the photo on an engine mount bolt needed to properly mount a CL72/77 steering damper on a CB77.

They want $249.00 for this bolt and that is just plain stupid! :P

Looks to me like the angled piece has threads in the hex portion, and motor mount has threads both ends & screws into it..
That is how I would make it..

I don't presently have one of those dampers, or I could do a mockup an believe I could give some pretty good measurements. Soon as I can, I'll do just that. I Appreciate your offer as well, Frank. 8) My eyes aren't picking up what yours did (about the details of it), but whatever works best for YOU. ;)

The "angle" of that end part, will be the most crucial part and I'll do my best to ghet that as spot on as I can. I'll let you know, soon as I can.

                                                Thanks again, Bill ;)

And Thanks To 'mystic_1' for posting the picture of it. 8) ;)
(gotta learn how to do that myself) ::)

Either that or the mount is a long bolt and the stud is double ended, with a thread on each end, but that seems less strong to me. would be  strong though if the hex portion was not turned down towards the damper stud.
You may be able to get angle from a pic.. try old scrambler, he may have more info as he is into the CL ones..

I can't really tell myself, but however is the best way to do it, would be the way to go. Soon as I can get to where I can set things up and figure out the measurements, I'll get with you and see what you think. ;)
