Spark Plug question
« on: September 21, 2009, 04:52:04 PM »
hello,..just was wondering, on my CB350F i went to test the spark plugs and noticed, with the engine running, 3 and 4 read great, and 1 and 2 didnt read at all, but the pipes were just as hot as the working ones.  After removing the 2 "not working" plugs, i put new ones in and got the same problem.  I verified the gap settings and not sure what else to check.
(tested with multiple testers..)
any thoughts?

thank you for any help!

My thoughts are if the pipes are hot as hell, leave it alone.

What I want to know is how do you read your plugs with the engine running?

Try inverting the inductive pickup.
A positive pulse on lead 1, would be a negative pulse on lead 4.  Lots of cheap equipment is sensitive to thinks like that.
