Believe it or not but this is a good price! I have two customers that run CBX shops exclusively and they sell a fully restored '79 CBX for upwards of $25K. I'm not saying that I would pay that, just that it is not out of line for a '79. I had a chance at an '81 for $4K but the "experts" at the CBx shop said that is top price for a minter with all the extras and original manuals, etc.

        I knew the 79's were UP THERE abit, but didn't realize just how much! :o Any idea what a decent 80' would bring? Not that I am going to seel MINE, just wondered what the average and the top dollar might be. Thanks for your input. ;)

It would be in the range that I mentioned, around $4 to 5K according to the expert I deal with. It's a sandcast type of thing; first year models usually fetch top dollar. After that it is down to how much someone wants a particular bike. Personally i would love a CB450 as I started on my dad's black bomber which we traded in 1970 for a new disc brake version. I never liked it as much as the bomber tho. Also, glad to hear that you are a little happier Bill.

     Thanks for the input on the CBX. Can't argue with the feelings on the 450 either! 8)
Thanks, I was beyond ready to be Happy, just didn't realize how I was acting so "Mechanical" until, Jana appeared in the way she did. ;) I realize that SOME folks take years to get even somewhat back to normal, after losing someone so close and I AM thankful that I seem to be getting on with things, I'd probably go deep into depression, if I had to wait that long. :-\ Different people take different means and time frames, to be able to start again.
