new project '78 K8 cafe bike
« on: October 08, 2009, 06:25:01 PM »
I just found this site in my hunt for cool cafe parts for my 78. I just bought this bike from a guy who had it sitting in his garage for years. Pretty clean start for a project bike. Carbs are leaking but the bike fires right up and it's not all rusty like lots of them out there. Looks to be all bone stock as far as I can tell and low miles.

I've snooped already and found a bunch of good info on here.

Already got an older style tank, cafe seat, the bars are going to scrap, gonna rebuild the forks and start making everything shiny.

You're right near me. I'm in Vancouver. Got any interesting scraps left over from your project?
