Vacumn guages for Carb synch

Going to look at a set for sale,
 Any good for setting carbs?
 Pros? Cons?
 Worth having?.. not worth it ?

I use vacuum gauges to sync carbs. The only issue is making sure they are all calibrated equally. This is easy to do. Just attach the gauges to a carb one at a time and see if they are reading the same. You will need inline dampers or they bounce too much to read. I use little in-line valves that I picked up at Home Depot.

I also have a mercury gauge, but my engines like to slurp up mercury and spew it across the environment, producing really stupid coyotes around here.

definatley worth if i have a mercury manometer and it works great but theres a heated thread about ones with some other liquid and it not working as well.... theres also homemade ones if u do a search... but the gauges are not as acurate but  unless ur racing or in to ultra high performance u  should be ok with them...... i got my manometer for 40 on ebay
