try it out, doesn't take long to pull the exhaust. Ports might fit but, I have a feeling you may have to modify the collector portion.

I'm new to the SOHC's, but I thought I'd read somewhere on here that the port spacing is wider on the 750's.

Take a look at the angle of the cylinders to the cases, that ought to remove all doubt..

It's "putting", both for exhausts and golf. I can measure the differences tonight, but I'm sure they're off. Not to say it can't be done, but I haven't heard of anybody doing it as a straight swap, and I'm sure it would have come up before now as options for 550 exhaust are limited at best...

550/ 500s are straight. 750s are angled forward.

right after i posted the thread i went out and tried putting it on anyway... looks like i should of used a wedge...golf joke... it doesnt seem to wanna fit the pipes are to small for the gasket or whatever and as 754 pointed out they are not the same line... im trying to fit some stuff for exausts to fill the space and i might(big might) try heating them and bending the angle out to whats needed... i just have one ride i wanna do before i putt her away for the season then i'll get something worked out like a nice mac header for spring

If you have original 78K 550 exhausts in reasonable order SELL THEM as Honda dont make them any more and they sell for megabuks

man if a 750 exhaust could work on a 550 that would open a whole door of possibilities.  Since I can't seem to find anything except for a mac 4-1 and just don't like they way it looks on a 550 IMO.

In addition to Mac, there's hooker and motard available but you gotta do some digging...

Yea seen thos companies but none have cought my eye.  I wish they made yoshi replicas like the 750.  I just like the way they are built better then a mack or hooker.
