CB550F Rejet, do I need to?
« on: October 11, 2009, 08:51:19 PM »
Just picked up a 76 Cb550f and the stock exhaust system it had was rusted with some holes. When I got the bike it had pods.  I decided to pick up a mac 4into1 system for it. From what I have read, the mac system is not a performance system. This said, do I need to rejet? I keep hearing yes and no. The carbs are stock along with the rest of bike,  minus the cosmetics.

Whats a good jet kit and where can I find one. I've tried both local motorcycle dealers with no luck.

Yes, the bike would need to be re-jetted/ readjusted for those mods.

How do you know the carbs haven't already been re-jetted, or are the same carbs that came with the bike from the factory?
