Anyone have pics of cafe racer with red frame, red tank/seat?
« on: October 13, 2009, 06:17:32 AM »
I've been thinking about how I want to paint my project bike and came up with the idea of possibly having a red frame, red tank, and the stock chrome fenders cleaned up and polished.  I'd also throw a red cowl and black leather seat on the rear, with a little bit of black accenting on the engine.  Maybe even the wheels black and the spokes aluminium or chrome.

Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone had any pics of a red frame, red tank/set cafe?  I can imagine only so much, lol.  I'd like to an example if possible to see if my creativity is on or off :)

Project is a 71' CB500 platform.

A 71 CB500 looks great with a colorful frame, especially if you hide all of the electricals for that wide-open-center-of-the-frame look.

Thanks for the pics.

i agree, hiding all the electrics do make a difference.

As for the red frame and tank, I thought it might have a classic look to it paint scheme wise.  It does.   ;D  I'm glad to see it in real life, lol.  Thanks again!
