Better yet, why not call an insurance company if you want an insurance quote, instead of asking the question on a motorcycle forum?
...

But I've got to ask, why would anyone ask for health insurance advice on a MOTORCYCLE board where this DISCUSSION HAS ALREADY BEEN BANNED AT LEAST ONCE?

He asked because wife has been unsuccessful in finding it for his girl.  Where better to get information than a board filled with people who may have had to deal with the same issue?
He already said his wife has a lot of correspondence from the insurance companies.

There is no reason for this be banned, this is a legitimate issue that a fellow board member is asking.

Why would someone ask about insurance?  Because we're a community with a lot of good info that's not restricted to just motorcycles.  People ask questions about cars, relationships, ask for medical advice, and dealing with all of those things we come across in our daily lives.  That's why it's the open forum which is supposed to contain "Everything that has nothing to do with the Honda SOHC/4 motorcycles. "

To me the question was apolitical and appropriate, as were most of the responses.

Here is a link to the CT Medicaid site. Perhaps they have a program that fits. http://www.quickbrochures.net/medicare/connecticut_medicaid_medicare.htm

Good luck to you and your Daughter.

I can't offer much but the Medicaid sounds like an option. As a last resort thing, she could maybe check out the national guards, see if she can find some administrative job to do that would not require going overseas. Problem is that things like that are unreliable. They might say something is available only to not have the option once done with boot.
Like I said, last option if she gets really desperate.

Thanks Bobby,  I never really thought of Medicaid as an option but it may be our only option. CT has it's own plan called HUSKY but there are no participating doctors withing 30 miles of where we live. Apparently it's not a very well liked plan by the doctors.

I hope it helps and please do not let pride get in the way, and it may get demeaning. A very good friend of mine lost everything in the last Recession. He had to go get Food Stamps. They would drive two towns over to cash them in. Today he is again quite well off and pays tons of taxes. Think of it as a spare tire to get you out of a tough spot.

I may have Swine Flu and am on Tamiflu, if I had to pay full price for that stuff out of my own pocket, I would feel sicker than I do now.

Again, best of luck.

I feel your pain Bobby. I have type one diabetes and hypothyroidism, my warehouse closed last month and lost coverage. Everything is out of pocket now. It ain't cheap. Got turned down for medicaid.

Hope your daughter finds something lynchj. You know who has an awesome benefits package is UPS. 100%
