Hello, All!

My name is Miguel and I'm the proud new owner of a '78 CB550.  It's all stock, except for a Dyna ingnition, and it was running seven years ago when it was parked.  Wish me luck in getting her running again.  This bike was given to me by a good friend who has owned it since '92.

I was eight years old when I accompanied my brother to buy his brand new '77 CB750.  That bike was later handed down to another brother who converted it into a cafe.  Since then I have had the dream of building my own cafe, and I'm excited that the day is here.  Rather, the many, many, many days that it will take to build a cafe are here.   :)

The big items on my wish list are a Dunstall-style tank (is this even an option for a 550?) and a solo seat pan and cowl that I will make myself using fiberglass.

I look forward to learning from all of you and sharing things I learn along the way.  I'm an avid sport-tourer who commutes to work on an '03 Yamaha FJR.  I am an official moto-nut and I can talk about bikes for days if given the chance.

Below are some of the bikes I have owned:

I did some mild customizing on my Kawasaki Z750S...and I crashed it March '08

And this was the funnest project I have ever worked on.  I did all the customizing, including paint, on my 2000 Honda Shadow.  I sold it to a guy who sold it again and joined the peace corps.  I don't know where the bike is now.   :(
