I watched Capt Lou as a kid on TV. Later I found out he lived one town above me and I got to see him all of the time. He was a local icon and he would gladly sign autographs and shake hands. He had a local book signing and he sat around for 3 hours afterward answering questions and telling stories. He was not the loud buffoon he played as a Wrestler and later. He was kind of soft spoken and well spoken. I am sure Mahopac NY where he lived will name something after him.

Definitely watched him as a kid on Saturday morning wrestling shows. I remember being a "heal" first and then kind of changed into a good guy.

Roddy Piper wore tights under his kilt...what kind of Scotsman is that. He should have wore nothing under it like a real man and his signature move could have been "the flying teabag"

RIP Cap'n Lou he was one of the main reasons I watched wrestling as a kid. He was one of the true showmen.
