Euro Bars on a 350
« on: October 15, 2009, 11:04:24 AM »
I saw some Euro bars on JCWhitney.  They were only about 20 bucks.  Anyone here put them on their bikes?  Looking for pictures, especially on a 350F.  Also any fitment problems would be great to know about.  http://www.jcwhitney.com/HANDLEBARS?ID=12;0;1101014751;0;100003;ProductName;14;0;0;0;2017095;0;0

Euro bars are my favorite by far, and I've used pretty much everything available except for extreme ape hangers.  They have just enough rise and pullback to allow for a comfortable riding position with stock foot pegs, but are low and forward enough to look and feel a little more sporty.

The main problem with fitting any aftermarket handlebars is they're not cut to allow the switch pod wires to run inside them.  Some people drill their bars to continue running the wires internally, but many just cut a tunnel in the bottom half of the switch pods and run them externally.  The only other issue is the length of the control cables and brake line.  You can go the route of getting or making shorter cables, but you don't have to.  Re-routing them has always worked well for me because the difference in height between the stock bars and the Euro bars is not that extreme.
