Topic: cb oil filter housing ??? looking to buy for a cb550

hey everyone. I'm in the market for an oil filter housing for a cb550 and am wondering if these things are universal or what. they all look the same. can I use a 650 750 900 model with no problems? thanks

Looks like this piece was used on:
cb400f, cb500, cb550, cb750.  The 900 is a dohc and doesn't have much in common with our bikes. 
A good way to find this stuff out is to use a site like this:
http://www.babbittsonline.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/7/Honda.aspx
Look up the part number first (on the left) and then type it into the part number search (on the right).  It will tell you the years and models that used the part. 
There's a few on ebay for around $20 or $30, which seems a little high.  Maybe you should list it in the parts wanted section on this site.

I tried to cross reference the part # but it didn't work. I think maybe because its not available but maybe I did it wrong. guess I will try posting to the wanted board. thanks for the help

I think the part number you are looking for is 15411-300-010

I got mine on ebay for $15 plus shipping, with the 17mm bolt. Just be careful you don't over tighten
