It will the candy blue green which seems to have a number of shades from more blue to more green, something like these two, which I have pictures of in my workshop. If mine can look like these then I have a successful end to my project. These two to me are IT!

If I may respectfully disagree, the one labeled original is a color I've never seen on the road.  I have a blue/green K0 that I bought in 1975.  I had it repainted 2 years ago by Vic's painter.  I used a repro air box because the original was toast.  When I got my painting back and compared it to the original airbox it was a close match.  In my opinion the Vic World color is probably as close to the original as it gets.  At least it has more of the green part of the blue/green.  In my avatar it seems even greener in that photo than the Vic picture but that could just be lighting.  Here's a pic of the same bike taken indoors.

I take some pics of what I have for the painter to match from. The sun has to come around to my back yard for some natural bright light. The only blue green I've seen was on a bike that the owner said has a NOS tank and sidecovers. He was trying to make a later K look like an earlier one. It seems very blue to me. You may notice something he's done that I've seen done a couple of times including on the cover of a classic bike magazine.

I'm not sure what you are disagree with, as these are picture's lifted from their sites i used for studying color. The original is an old Honda ad? Color interpretation is relative to each human perception and camera reproduction. I struggled understanding what the original red actually looked like. I still scratch my head in direct sun light when looking at my ruby red. Depending on camera flash the color with vary significantly. Personally I find your blue/green look more attractive.

Sorry but I'm a little confused.  Is that photo showing the NOS tank and sidecovers?  If so those aren't K0 sidecovers.  I not sure but I don't think the blue/green was used on K1+ models.  I guess what I'm saying is I don't think that color is the K0 blue/green.  And really when it comes down to it all that matters is what you like.

What I'm saying is that I don't think the color in the magazine photo was a production color.  I even noticed the photo name was Prepro_69.

Oh, Not sure, you could be correct.
I have troubles getting resolution on color to a high detail. I'm a tad color blind.  ;D
I can see your bike "seems" more bright and green.

Mark, the K? in the picture I posted was one a fellow did up at great expense to make it look like a K1. The tank is a NOS one according to the owner. Sorry for the confusion, of course you're right, it's not a K1 colour and he must have painted the sidecovers. Did you notice the sidecover badge?
No problem turning it into a colour thread. I'll continue it with some pics of the colour of parts I have.

The pictures tend to make the colour more blue, bluer?, than what it is but here they are. The colour under a reflector, on the inside and outside of an airbox and under the tank. The tank was a repaint on top, almost a green.

That's sure looks like it would be original.  I wish mine wasn't in storage.  I'd like to take a look at it.  I don't know why mine looks so green in that one picture.  It was getting dark in the summer time with a lot of green leaves overhead maybe.  I guess they wouldn't call it blue/green if it didn't have at least a hint of green in it.  Its a complicated color.

Cliff, I love your avatar! Showed it to my SO and she was not impressed.
I think because of the exhaust and rack I just bought last week for my CL360.  :D

my .02

Any of the original colors would look great.

Not sure if it was on the K0's but I always liked the candy jade green color, and the eggplant dark purple color.

But, again, any original stock color for that year done correctly withthe stripe, badges, etc.  would be the way to go, IMHO.

Joe, I kind of had red in the back of my mind way back when but the K1's are red and I get too many questions why 2 red ones and I do like the candy blue green, it was for only the K0's. It's a significant colour to the history of the bike and really stands out. You're right too, they all look good when done correctly. I think the candy jade green was a K1 colour, not sure about the purple.
Simpson, my wife was not impressed either. I stole it from a fellow on the Goldwing GL1800 forum where most of the money spent there goes for plastic chrome and lights. That sounds like a cheap shot however I too have added plastic chrome and lights to mine. There's not much else to do to those bemoths.

Last few days: simmered the carb manifolds in water and wintergreen which did soften them up, dug out the manifold clamps and cleaned them up, new screws for the clamps, got the right handlebars chromed and mounted the switches on the bars - all under the watchful eye of Simon the wonderdog.

Looks like its coming along good.  It helps when you've got a good helper, especially one that doesn't get in the way.  Were the carb rubbers still soft when they cooled off?  Congrats on the hockey games by the way!

Thanks Mark! Yes, the carb rubbers are still soft and just slip over the inlets easily. There was a bit of blistering but I haven't noticed as much so I guess it's going away.
He's a good helper but can't find anything when I drop it.
Great game! Sidney Crosby - 22 years old and has won a Stanley Cup and an Olympic Gold medal. Amazing young man.
My oil tank and swing arm should come back from the painter this week so I can get them and the oil lines on.

Got my parts back from the painter. Mounted the oil tank, the breather hoses and the oil lines, connected some small wiring bits. Polished the oil tank cap/dipstick. It looks pretty good! I'm disappointed with the paint on the swingarm so it's back to the painter with it. I seem to have quite a bit of extra wire to the points and brake light connections. I'll have to stuff that away carefully. The original wiring harness was butchered so I got a new one from a member in Texas. This is officially an international build!
