78 750F Upgrades?

Question I have been wondering about for a while, Ive got a 78 750F that I am going to fix up a bit over the winter and I was wondering about upgrading the bike.  The bike has been a daily driver for about 2 years now and I absolutely love it, its completely stock and its pretty much original except for the exhaust which needs to be redone.
What mechanical upgrade would you guys recommend for the old girl if any?  I was looking at some of the aftermarket ignition setups but wasnt too sure.  Iam still tied up about changing any of the mechanics but I would love to hear some input.

The 77/8 F bikes have the well known valve guide issue that eventually shows up as the mileage adds up.  It will need head work if it starts burning oil but until that day keep riding it.  Otherwise things like bronze swing arm bushings, roller bearings in the steering head, modern rear shocks, drilling your brake rotors, stainless steel flexible brake lines, progressive wound springs in the forks or emulators,  all or some of these things can be done as components wear out and go a long way in improving the handling and ride.  Personally these are things I would do before ripping into engine mods for a few more HP.  For me the F has plenty of power for my needs but others may feel otherwise.  Resist any urge to put pods on it.  It's all about the "look" and more trouble than it's worth.  I might take a few shots for that one. ;D

Thanks for the input, the 750 has enough power for me as well I wasnt really looking at hp upgrades at all.  I was thinking about taking the head off and getting a look at the valves and doing a redo if needed.  Thanks for the link about the ignition, I think Ill be making a purchase in the near future.
