Very sorry to hear about your situation, kslrr. Where I work it has been sphinctre shaking time for the past 8 months; big, long time customers pulling out of contracts everywhere. We've let go or early-retired about 3 dozen civil, mechanical and electrical engineers. Guys with 20-30 years experience. One guy had been with the company 50 years!! All that knowledge and skill just walking out the door............it's a damned shame. The rest of us it's heads down, "yess sir, no sir, three bags full sir" time.

A damned shame. Hope we all learn something from this so called "decade of affluenza".

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

Yeah, it stinks not working....my son says he's moving to Europe after he
graduates. That way he will at least be covered for medical even if he
is not working. ???

Sorry to hear about your situation and hope it improves quickly. Best of luck.

for some weird reason....

the first thing that the thread title brought to mind was Bob Goldthwait.....

"I lost my job.....

Well, I didn't really lose my job.....

I still know where it is....

But I go there and some new guy is doing it....

And he doesn't even know my name.

Dedicated to Sgt. Howard Bruckner 1950 - 1969. KIA LONG KHANH.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

Sorry and been living the dream as well.
I am working 2 glorious foodservice jobs, both with futures, just no big bucks now. Remember they cannot get blood from a stone, and if you woke up this morning, game on!!!!
Good luck as all the rest is knowledge.
