Quite the Nice CBX there Bill! My buddy had one with a yoshimura kitted motor and it was like hearing a Ferrari rev..awesome sounding bike ever..quite the nice stable there man!

Thank you for the compliments Doug, mine isn't a Yoshi fitted motor, but still has some of that Ferrari like sound though (when revving)! Great sound, at that!

That engine sure is AWESOME! IT still is cool to just stand back and look at.

I hope no one gets the idea that I am boosting about having it, I'm just proud, that's all (and amazed that I DO have it, as well!

Thanks, I have a picture of the GPZ, the CBX, the 80' CB750K w/sidecar and the 80' CB650C, all lined up and I am impressed to see them like that myself. The 750 and the 650 need work to put them anywhere near the other 2, but they still look pretty good.

I don't know the history behind the GPZ, I bought it off ebay, from a guy in Oklahoma, who is a Kawasaki big 4 fanatic. He's STILL got several. It Does look GOOD. doesn't it?

Now, the CBX was redone by my buddy ( who I ended up buying IT from) and he DID do a fantastic job on it.

Every time I went to see him, I just could hardly take my eyes off of that CBX, so when HE offered e a deal on it, I lumped on it!

Thing is, the weather's starting to turn off and I am NOT going to get the CBX out unless weather is suitable. I can handle getting the GPZ out, but the CBX is all detailed out and it would take forever to get t cleaned back up. Now, AFTER I get the GPZ repainted and detailed out, I might have to rely on the CB650 or the 80' CB750K. I don't know WHAT I'll do, if I manage to get them ALL redo. $:-\$ Guess I'll just have to drive the minivan!

but what is the going rate for an A-condition CBX in the USA these days?

Hey TG, Good to see ya here. Naw, it's an 80' model. Still has the good looks, larger wheels, but slightly detuned engine ( still was supposed to be capable of about an 11.?? quatermile time though @ a little over 100 (111.??)mph) and a slower speedometer, which means, if you get over 85, you'll probably bend the needle on the speedometer. Sounds tough and runs GREAT!!!!

I HAVE seen a 79' with a Buy It Now Price of $12,000 something.

Hey Colin, It IS a pretty AWESOME bike at that and, far as I know, THIS IS one that will BE HERE for some time to come! I don't presently have much "Indoor" space, but that BABY IS INSIDE and will come OUT only when weather permits!

My buddy (who I got it from) would start it ever so often and take it out about once every week or 2. Now, I LOVE to HEAR THAT ENGINE and start it nearly every day AND ride it in the neighborhood (about the distance of riding down approx 4 "city blocks" and back). I'll be getting it out when I am going somewhere by myself and I've promised Sam that, when I go to meet him (when he gets over here again), I'll be coming on that CBX!

Probably be using the GPZ most of the time, IT'S nothing to sneeze at!

I HOPE TO do a paint job AND detail IT out this Winter AND THEN, I probably won't want to get IT out much either!

I'll just have to MAKE myself get them out some though, I don't want to just use them like Museum Pieces, but I want to keep them in good shape and Looking Good!

Thanks JAG, I'm really proud of this bike AND that I managed to get it. I just mentioned my buddy who'd restored the RE5s, well he is the one who'd done the CBX as well. Quite talented. AND, the CBX runs and SOUNDS great! It's a sound that NEEDS to be heard, to appreciate!

Jeff, it's gonna be a REAL STRAIN, to NOT grab some throttle on the either the GPZ or the CBX. They BOTH want to get up and ROLL ON!

But, I'll try to restrain myself.....................................................................

BTW, I don't do wheelies much any more, I just like to roll up side one of those who thinks he's HOT and pull away (trying to make sure that HE can't do the same TO ME!
