any Danelectro fans here?

i was played all my guitars tonight and i began thinking about all the different guitars i've had during different times of my life and how my economic situation dictated the guitars i owned. from the time when i had an early 60's strat and a mid 60's es-335 (early-late 90's) to now with my 55 dollar squier/made in mexico hybrid hardtail strat. of all the guitars i've owned from super high dollar to the cheapest ones, i've enjoyed my Danelectro Hodad more than any of them by far. it just feels like the perfect guitar with super nice action, great sounding electrics and a killer look. i like it every bit as much as the mosrites it kind of copies in fact. i'd actually like to get rid of all my non-danelectro guitars to get Danos. my Daisy Rock Retro-h 12 string needs to be replaced by a Hodad 12 for instance.

Had a beatnick burgundy longhorn bass. Miss it but I know where it is!!!!
Danos kick I just wish the folk would be moe consistent about stocking/ distributing them around here. I have loved all the hodads I have tried but my frankenbasterdtele is still my favorite. You do tend to find the right guitar for yourself regarless of norms.

i'd love to replace all but the franken fender with Danos. i just love the things.

I like the Dano's too. But dont have one. I have a new 60's Player Strat and a Sqire Tele. The Sqire Tele is my fave. and for $200.oo new with the case. It's a steal.

I'd like to have my 66 Tobacco Brown ES335, stop tail piece, dot neck back though..

But, If I didn't know the price and $ was no object, The Butterscotch Squire Tele with Maple neck is still tough to beat

i might like to have the elvis costello jazzmaster one day, but i just love the Hodad. slicker fingerboard than the cherry 66 es-335 i had. and i LOVE the sound of the lipstick pickups with coil splitting and coil tap.

Ever play any Electras? I've got a couple but I'm not good enough of a player to know what's good or not.

I only own a strat, and a few acoustics, but I really do like the dan distortion pedal. Very nice. Very very nice. So... very nice.
