Anyone got a CB360 factory manual? (Got a new bike!)
« on: October 24, 2009, 12:54:29 PM »
Need it in pdf format. Just picked up a 75 CB360.

thanks
trevor

also, the service bulletins on the cam tension issues would be helpful

Here she is, 250$ cash. Needs some loving. Was last registered in 99 so at least it didn't sit in a barn for 30 years. Very complete minus the side covers. Plans are mild bore, mild port, pods, 34mm Mikunis from somewhere, maybe clip on's... something small and light with a little zip. tank looks pretty good.

Surf thru the Hondatwins site.  tbpmusic (Bill) has posted it several times.  There's also a sticky there for the major 360 service bulletins:  cam chain tensioner, rocker arm shafts and carb rebuild.

Regarding the tensioner update, many owners had their engines repaired by Honda dealers after the update was announced.  In those instances, dealers were supposed to stamp a colon mark somewhere within the engine serial number box.  It's worth checking for this before you assume that it needs the update.

Let me know if you need the tensioner parts list.  I can post it.

Thanks guys. Tried to print up the manual and the pdf is locked  :P

The bike was a no title deal. Arkansas is pretty lax on this stuff. I can insure and register the bike in my name to get it legal. I can ride it all I want after that, but will have to apply for an abandoned vehicle title if I ever just need to have the title in hand or someone wanted to register the bike in a more strict state. (the bike was found in a shed at a house the previous owner had just bought)

That, coupled with my girlfriend throwing a fit, is leading me to consider selling it. You guys think i can get my money back out of it at this point? i'm 50/50 at this point on it.

Glad to help - like Kirk mentioned, the cam chain tensioner bulletins are posted over at HondaTwins.net........

Not sure if I'd dump a bunch of money into a 360 though - but maybe that's just me.

My best freind got married and a few years later had money issues. His wife talked him into selling his 550/4. I was horrified! so I bought it from him. A few years later, she ran out on him and the two kids... at which time he got his REAL sweetheart back! (free of course!)

Bikes are like dogs... They're loyal, good listeners, and there to cheer you up when needed! ;D

Keep the bike if you aren't making payments! It can always be stored.

In her defense I did promise this was a 'rebuild and flip' bike when I went to get it.

I thought the motor was wiped but it's making good compression. That, and it's not even in bad shape once I got to looking at it this afternoon. The thing is just totally filthy. I'm considering just lapping the valves in when I fix the tensioner (neither vin punch mark is there  :-[) and trying to get ahold of some 34 mukins and riding the thing around town. Who the hell knows at this point, it's freezing ass cold here anyways.  :P

Every time she asks just say there are still a couple of things you have to sort out on the bike before it's ready to be sold.  Keep at it until she either gives up or leaves you. ;D ;D
