totally understandable rob.  just make sure you  make that decision while keeping some of your uber cool parts on the market!   ;D  especially at least ONE dry clutch for me!  haha!

but that sounds like an awesome time, i sure wish i could go there and check out all the bikes, but this damn job has me tied down...  and every available penny i can scrape together is being pooled for the CB build...  thanks for all the hard work so far!  and have a great trip.  make sure to snap PLENTY of pictures!!!

Maybe I sounded a bit "dramatic", but voxonda.com is something 'on the side'. Have a fulltime dayjob, so have a limited amount of hours to put into it, aka slow development of clutch for example. Have made several swingarms, progressing in quality but almost cannot keep up with the demand. And so on. So need to know what to do.

Had a great "bikeweek", everything bigger than I expacted. And the track is awesome, made up a new dream of riding the banking once on one of my bikes. Seen some nice bikes, but have to admit not as much as I expected. Hoped there were some more international participation. But enjoyed every minute of it! ;D ;D ;D
And main street was great, very nice admosphere. A bit to much Harley's for my taste, but saw some very nice onces.
Did a lot of mileage that week. Visiting Kennedy Space center was very nice, very impressed by the whole area. Always had some reservations to the whole program, but think much better of it now.

the space coast has always been my favorite part of florida. when i was living in Tampa i made the trip over every couple of months or so to go to disney (we had seasons passes) and to go to the space center. if i ever moved back to florida thats the area i'd want to live i think, somewhere between cocoa and daytona.

Sorry, I should have warned you that there is no International participation save for those guys from Japan on the Vintage Superbikes,  Cronshaw from UK and Ken Nemoto on Guzzi from Japan.

And sorry 'bout the davidsons, but they soon will be gone from face of earth, as anyone who ever wanted one has had one and now they are all old men and don't ride anymore.

Just think it is a shame that there are a lot of nice racebikes that aren't used anymore. Ofcourse the cost of running a bike is (very) high, but still..... Wouldn't it be nice to see and hear a bunch of the 'real' old skool bikes racing the banking. Was nice to see the 'battle' between the HD and the Honda CR repl.

Hey Rob,
 Glad you had a good time, and sorry I missed you. I did run into one forum member from south florida and had some great conversations.
 It was the smallest turn out for bikes in a decade, I was dissappointed. But the weather was good for vintage racing(on Monday anyway). It is still the best day of the year, no matter how small the turnout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey HB,

Sorry I missed you too. Fact is I lost your number, was sure I had it with me. Field was way too small but enjoyed every minute of it.
Have been talking to some riders about their machinery. Am collecting and searching parts to build a Yoshimura CR replica and who knows what the future brings....

Hey G,

Talked to a lot of people, but most weren't into CB's. But got the chance to talk to Mike Taylor from Barnett's. Was nice to put a face to someone I talk to by E-mail.
Talked to two guys who raced a vey nice black/grey Rickman CB, they did not have problems with their clutch, due to using the standard cluster.

Hi Rob,

That must have been Jeff Peters with the Rickman. Did he have a DNF one day? He and that bike are a fast combination.

Think you're right, comes from Canada. Certainly a fast combo and reliable. Very neat bike.

Rob, did you get any new pics of the Rickman? You know how I feel about them!

BTW, Jeff Peters bike is beautiful and still runs the 41mm Rickman forks with single disk!  Looks like some kind of light dirt bike rear drum, though ;D  RR

That's the bike alright RR. He must have changed the rear drum since the last time I saw it.

I can't remember if the Rickman uses one, but the red and yellow CR's in the background use a top engine mount (unusual but nicely made) You can barely see from the photos.

Sorry to take this off track Rob.

@RR,

Hey Ted, we have taken some pic's. But no time yet to work things out. Will show what we have asap.

@bwaller,

Hey Brent, no worries. If my memory serves me right he used a double disk now but again, have to check the pics. Told him about the clutch we're developing and Jeff told me he used his, Barnett, clutch for the past 3 years with no problem, but with a oem gearbox.
I think he came in fourth in the last race, looks like a fast usuable bike. Is well taken after. A shame the red and yellow bike weren't there.

Hey G,

The good news is that this coming Saturday we are going to put the last hand to it. Then it should be able to run in the engine. Just ordered new rings for the engine and then it can be closed and put in the frame. Bought myself a Read Titan tank which together with the RCB seat will form the appearance for the bike. Am now in process of preppin' my replica for a trackday in France and hoping to take the bike with dry clutch too, so it can be trashed on the track also.

OK, can we start the bets? if Nova charge 1050 british pound (round 1600$)  for their CB450 dry clutch my bet is that Rob's 750 kit will not come under 2000 US $ (if he wants to make any money out of this.... )

How far off the mark am i Rob?
