CB750 fork question
« on: October 27, 2009, 03:21:43 PM »
I want to put some wide clean-looking forks on a cb750. I found a bike by wrenchmonkees called Monkee #11. The front forks and triple tree combined with the wider wheel make the greatest cb750 fork i've ever seen imo. I understand most of the parts on this bike are custom, but I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a comparable fork/triple tree i could put on a cb750. I have yet to purchase a bike, so information on any year would be appreciated.

Thanks

I guess you could see if they would tell you what bike the forks etc are off of.  I doubt that they would but you never know.  I see they have a contact on their web page.

Basically you could put anything you want on the front end as long as the angle on the frame where the front triple tree goes is the same or close & you can adapt the bearing differences between the two bikes. You'd have to swap out everything off the doner bike: front brakes, wheels, forks, triple tree and then do a lot of fabrication work yourself to make it work.

It would depend on wheither you wanted a daily driver or a show bike.  Some folks swap out the gl1000 front end & put it on the cb 750's to getter a stronger & firmer front end. Maybe somebody that has done other than the gl1000 front ends willl come along with some ideas.
