This is the Warrington Pipe Band. My son was a tenner drummer in the junior band and his cousin was a base drummer. Her father was a tenner drummer in the senior band.
I can't find any video of the junior band but it was 3 times the size and I think they were World Champions in the 70/80.

Ahh the "bare assed oatmeal savages" are at it again, to tell the truth I've marched to all manner of bands including Fife and Drum and give me a decent Pipe Band any time, 3 beats in the aches and pains start to lift and thoughts of world domination start to flow, every one starts to move with swagger and your unit is ready to take on the world. We marched for "Liz" one time in Victoria BC down the main street and there was other bands playing at the same time which is God awful for trying to keep in step, but as we got close to the reviewing stand the Seaforths cranked up and it was wonderful. I guess it's my heritage but I can see why you'd put the piper ahead of the bayonet charge. "Tir nam beann, nan gleann, nan gaisgeach!"

I'm going to keep trying to find some vids from our SCA events.  Scotty and his troop, our 'official bards' were incredibly versatile, and the music was really stirred the soul.

I used to be active in An Tir, but ended up letting my ex keep all my chainmail and garb because my 'new life' didn't end up including a lot of it.  Kind of a shame, actually. :(  I'd been working on assembling the gear necessary to be an archer in the 'wars'.  Scottish mercenaries for the win!

here's a link for combat archery...
