Time Capsule 75 CB400F Pictures
« on: November 15, 2009, 09:27:30 AM »
Finally getting around to working on my 75 CB400F.  Bike has been sitting covered indoors since 1976.  Original tires, plugs, air cleaner, factory grease pencil marks on the engine, etc.  Just over 3000 miles on it.  A real time capsule.

When replacing the tires a few weekends ago (rock hard original Brisgestones with most tread still on them), it was real cool seeing the virgin condition of the rear brake system, and the exceptional condition of the wheels.  Its not often that we get to see bike components in this condition.  It will be almost a shame to put mile on this machine.

What would be a shame would be to let it continue to sit unused and decay.  It needs to be ridden! :)

+1 Gordon, ride it before the fossil fuels run out. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!
