Nice office.  ;) I'm a fan of black and white moving water shots. You might try them, tripod, low ISO, stopped way down and a shutter speed of 1 sec. You might have to resort to ND filter depending on the light. It makes for great images.. well at least in my opinion.  ::)

Hey Bob, thanks for the photography tips, I'll have to go back and give it a try. Are you using all digital?
I still have an old 35mm I can drag down there too.

I use both, but mostly B&W film. It should work with either digicam or film, but the key is to get the shutter speed down to about 1 sec. Definitely nothing wrong with using a 35mm, I still have several of  them myself.

Sam, I was going to say something about that, I was completely fooled and struck dumb when no weird train noises or
floating apparitions were seen or heard.  ;D ;D

If you still have all those leaves Ger, you should let me know what part of the state you're in, central VA is pretty much done. I'd like to try to get out for another ride or two this season, but once all the leaves are gone... well, it's not nearly as nice.

Also, that music?!

Hey Tret, fire that beast up this weekend and head south on the Parkway. Oh heck, I bet the parkway construction
around Roanoke is still going. Anyway, I'm just south of Roanoke. Leaves are gone but their calling for 60's on Sat. and
70's on Sunday.

OH ho ho! Sounds like a good ride and perfect weather. I need to get some more in before the winter comes in and I go for a full tear down. It would also make my wife pleased as a pig in the thick stuff to get out for a good ride at least one more time this year.

did you ever get a replacement for the co-worker you lost earlier this year RM? or was it late last year?

Had to look this thread up tonight as I got a nice photo today from my office.

They don't normally sit and eat on my trees. They usually go to some higher trees in the area. It was a big fish! I guess that was as far as he/she could fly with it....

just finishing up the meal.

Hey Derek, thanks for posting that!  I really miss how the eagles would gather during the salmon run and eat the carcasses.  We would go north of Vancouver, and sit by the river and watch them in the hundreds!  We keep a native cedar carving of an eagle head in the house to remind us.

Seaweb. When I was much younger and stationed on Vancouver Island we used to drive up the Island highway to place called Fisherman's Lodge and the river beside it would be thick enough with Salmon that you would think that you could walk across their backs and not get your feet wet, the eagles loved it also the crows. Yes RM all our leaves have gone but evergreens make up for it and seeing it's supposed to get up to 10C ( around 50F) I'm going to try to get one last ride in.
