i just may have found the SL 350
« on: October 29, 2009, 04:05:42 PM »
I have found out about one nearby that I may be able to get.
It's a project but suppose to be all there. If it rains tomorrow I'm going
to look.  ;D

Details Man, we need details! ;D  What year model? KO is worth more (usually is, huh?), made changes for the K1 and, by the time the K2 came out, Honda was trying to save the SL350 and made more changes.  BTW, DON'T let Tim (kghost) know about it, because he'll hound you about it. ::) :D At least that's what he did (still does, now and then) to me, when I picked up on some.  ;)

        Keep us posted, okay? ;)

Hey Bill, I'll let you know and post realllly good pictures just to be annoying to those who might be envious.  ;D
It was my first bike and I'd like to get another. Mine was the K3 but I'd still take one if I found it.
I'm pretty sure my first was kicker only. This one is too! More to come.

this one was the first (what ever I find will be painted blue and white :))

What year is a K0?  I'm about to pick up a 69 SL350 for 500 bucks.  Is that a good deal?  It looks to be mostly all there.

the 69's an Sl350K0! the later ones had a different frame, than the K0 which was partially a pressed steel frame. I've got most of an Sl350K0 and most (or at least a good part of) 2 K2s, that I hope to get to some day and Tim (kghost) keeps trying to deal me out of! ::) :D ;)

This will help on the models of the SL350: http://www.honda350k.com/SL350.html

Here's a place that deals with the SL350. You and Rocking-M can check things out there.   http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/hondasl350/

Also, if needed, I've got some pictures on Flickr, of a KO that was on e bay and had a pretty big spread of them , so I saved them to use when and if I ever get to working on my 350KO.

Oh Yeah, a REAL Beaut! ;) And, when you are finished, you might add the "iful" on the end of THAT word Beaut. ;)

What is amazing is you got it with the exhaust pipes, very hard to find.
Good luck on the restore.

Rocking M

I've got a very nice tach from a CL 350 if you need one. red line is 7.5 to 8.5 and max is 10,000.

Hey Ernie, I'll take some more pictures. I kept wondering why my flash wasnt working then when
I downloaded I relized the camera operator had moved the setting so the flash would work.
Got to check the details on the bike and see whats needed. The mufflers are beat up but I think their
pretty well unobtainiums so my sheet metal fabrication skills will be tested in rebuilding them.
I know I need a front brake lever and the mounting bracket. This is a cable operated drum on front as well as rear but I seem to have all the rear brake parts.

check your email.

You know all this time I was thinking my first was a 73 K3, I got to looking at the pictures and it
was a K1 also. Hey I was 17 and didn't care what year it was as long as it ran then. So, I've found
a k1 that matches my first at least in possibilities.  ;)

Never heard about the SL350 until i got me a CB350 and, by googling the net, found out the SL350 and wished I could get me one. Congratulations! It will surely give you lots of memories.

I recently let one of the previous owners of my Sanglas bike, take a ride on it. He told me that he could even remember the smell of the bike.

Rocking-m, now that you have brought your old bike from the past, will you bring that washboard too? :-)
