Just what the heck year is this SL 350?

Can anyone tell me what year this is or how to figure out as there is no model/year tag on the head stock. It appears to be a very low serial number too. Just heart breaking to part out because it has but 6K on it. Please excuse the mess. The best part is that I think it is a early 70's as it has the seat hinge on the rear of the seat. I need to know what you guys think. I don't want this thing to sit too long and need to list the parts pronto.

Yes that is a complete cb 750 4 into 1 F exhaust hanging from the rafters.

It looks like a 1970.  Does it have an electric starter?

No need to be critical. The yard is clean. The garage is like that because I have scraped 6 bikes in the last 24 hours. Just what would your garage look like in the same circumstances? Think before you run loose at the mouth.

Napalm in a trebuchet is the best tool for home owners associations and nosey people.

I am pretty sure it is a 72 from the color of the tank. Sure it is not a 70 as I had one.. I wish you lived closer I would take it off your hands. The first real bike I had was that 350. I assume you are some where in the frozen north?

Does the frame have a single front down tube, or double tubes?

it is single down tube into two tubes right at the motor. More liek under the motor. Thanks for your help so far.

In 1971, they went to a double front down tube frame and eliminated the electric starter.  Also, they went to slide carbs instead of CV carbs on the earlier one.  What kind of carbs are on it?

dont know on the carbs as they are only thing that is missing. I can tell you it has a recessed ignition switch like the old sandcast 750's

Don't get confuse with the XL. It had the twin down tubes later on.  I did not know they made one for the sl.  The XL had black pipes , two on side.I was pretty sure that both the cb and sl had the same frames....of course I have been wrong before. Ask my wife I had to marry her 3 times to get it right....still not sure. ;)
I was sitting here thinking that something was wrong. I think it was me as I remember that it was the cl that had the pipes coming up on the left side.  The sl and the xl are different bikes. The bike you got is an sl. I know the one I had bought new in 1970 had a different paint pattern and different color blue.
Well now that I am all confused again , Iwill have to do some checking.

Boy was I all wrong. I had to go and find the pictures.  My 1970 CB350 had the different color and all. The 1970 SL350 is the same as yours.  Same color and everything. Wish you were closer. Do you have a title etc. Maybe I will sell my 750's.

Wait a minute. Are you sure that is a sl?? It looks like a XL to me. Didn't the sl have both pipes coming up together on the left side??

Looks like a 1970 model to me.  I had 2 1971 SL350s.  I found the following through Google -

vin is SL350-1000758 so that makes it a KO? Does this mean this is a "sandcast"?
