cause of your giant junk! HAH ;D

Yeah that is true... But I also have a pretty big gut that gets in the way of everything.  At least I have somewhere to set the bucket of fried chicken!

Here is what I did with my Sunday off...

Started soda blasting my shocks today. The idea is solid, just need to find a better container for the soda, it wouldn't feed steadily. Anyway pics of that and the soda blasted carbs when I figure that out and finish... Hoping my seat comes in today. Then I can mock it up with the tank on the frame.

Here are some pics of the new tail...

I freakin love it!!! Got it at cafeseat.com shipped for $162 with the upholstery pan. Call Earl, he'll hook you up!

The tank and the seat are perfect!

Really looks good.

Different look with the Honda emblems being higher than stock...that's cool....unique, and different from stock.

I like how you keep it in your daughters doll house area! ;D

Got the frame all ground down so the tail fits the way I want. Caught myself on fire. What a way to start the New Year! It was only a small fire, more funny than scary!!! Superbike bars coming for my birthday as well as a new tail light(i think). So I just keep on truckin...

Ordered a braided brake line for the 78 from Pamadori. Showed off my progress to my family. Granny says my Grandpa was not quite as obsessed as me. Anyway, more progress to be made soon. Once I get some parts here. Still haven't tried the soda blasting again. Its a real PITA. So no news is good news I guess. Looking forward to bringing my new project home. Going to get a little crazy with that one...

Been a while since I updated this... Been ordering parts like crazy, thanks pampadori, industrial cafe, and steel dragon... I mocked everything up loosely this morning. Just wanted to see it all looking like a bike again. Took my seat pan to an upholsterer this afternoon. I am excited to get that back. He is a cool old dude, been doing upholstery for way longer than I have been alive, so I am in good hands. He talked me into a synthetic alligator that should look pretty interesting... I painted my tail and tank the other day, semi gloss white with a matte clear. I think I may do it again, not quite perfect(at all). My build cost is probably in the 700 dollar range now, with the upholstery costing another 200... Still think I can get her rideable for $1200. All thats left to buy is tires... Camera took a crap on us, new one in the mail. I will post some pics soon!

Thinking about running a 330mm tire on the back... What do you think????(yes, thats a joke!)

Seat looks amazing. Will post pics when the camera gets here... Just realized I have spent $1200ish total now... That doesn't count the R1 cam I am getting from Shenanigans! Ah well... Not many better ways to spend my money I guess!!!

that hammered paint is totally teh secks.  It's sort of like a shiny version of the stuff I'm going to use on the 350.   oh yeah, and I'm posting here so I can watch.  I don't have anything worthwhile to add...
...yet.

Ohhh ok, thanks IC! Got the new camera in today, took these after work. I will take some day shots on Sunday. But here it is.... First pics of the rolling chassis. Still need to "reassemble" these were just so I could see it look like a bike again!

Some closeups of the seat... Much better than I thought!

And one to show off...

man that thing is looking REAL good. congrabulations on bringing your vision to life.

Now, I'm thinking a stretched early 750 tank (like we talked about) with shallow knee dents would go with that seat better than the stock fatty tank...
just a thought
