Yes i meant finer, just be a little more careful when applying the bondo so you don't have too much sanding and use a block when sanding, it makes it easier to get it allstraight.

Hey IC, remember this little guy here ?
I was looking at another cx cafe build and from the looks of it  my shifter arm is correct and the peg is wrong . The deluxe and custom cx's seem to have different parameters here . Hmmm, Now I think I have to find some pegs, I was gonna use the rear pegs which works great for the shifter side but makes the brake pedal to far away ,hmmm.

I think I might have custom pegs with a proper deluxe shifter. You can see the shifter in relation to the starter is were it should be and the cafe(deluxe )bike picture the pegs look further back than in the custom(non cafe lookin bike ) photo. Does this add up ?

I think rear sets are a novel idea but they cost, and I am intimidated by making the rods . I just thought today that if I got the shorter brake pedal I could use the rear pegs as they are a perfect shifting height for me the only thing was the brake was to far out , but in light of realizing I have the custom model brake pedal(instead of the deluxe) I think I can aleiviate this .

Well, here are some more pix . I test rode a GL500 the other day which was kinda cool. It has the same engine but a mono rear shock which would be cool for like a street fighter tail piece or something. Weird thing about this bikes engine and mine is it tends to want to oscillate .You could never really race this bike ever. I read somewhere about a guy that turbo charged one or something and took it to the track and almost dumped it off the line   because of this . Looks cool but air cool inline fours are far superior for handling. But hay for 200 bux I aint complaining ;D

They did make a turbo version of the cx 500.   Even bumped it up to a 650 also.

You using standard drag bars there?  They look very nice but, turned down like that are they hitting the tank at all?

Also I have made a ton of decals extra . I work at a sign and vinyl shop so if anybody wants some PM me . I also can do any kind of stripes /pinstripping you like in almost any color or custom stripes from any art you have . If it going on a Honda let me know , you won't find a better price > I have access to some really cool equipment and don't mind helping some fellow enthusiasts/dreamers out.

These are actually 30 inch drag bars. They don't hit the tank . Most all you will find is 28 inch drag bars. I had to do some looking to find this one .     On any of the cb's a 28inch drag bar will totally cramp your MC rezy and controls ,it's pretty tight. I like the look and stance. In the front it looks stout with the headlight . Not to much more to go now....

as for that turbo , I'd like to ride one. Off the line I think it'd suck but if you eased into it I think it'd be fun . This engine has plenty of low end torgue . It just doesn't seem designed to take all that right off the bat . It is the most unusual Honda I have rode to date.

Did you find the 30 inch drags on line?  If so, you have a link?

I got'em second hand off feebay. Came with brand new grips as well.
Here is a picture of the bar clearance  which by far beats a clubman bar in this department . I have full range , the turn signal button just barely touches but hey like I siad , beats clubmans. I have read of people welding stop burrs onto there bikes to avoid this .

I made some custom side covers as well to hide the battery area out of 080 aluminum . They are awaiting clear coating to be installed. Should clean that area up nicely . I would like to run a gel battery under the seat but as I will likely be selling her in a few monthes this is just an unecessarry expense.

Thanks for that compliment ! Not quite finished but close. I have to do the fork seals and paint the lower forks and headlight bucket. I now have the use of a whole metalshop/ indoor paint booth so that really has me excited. I really wanted to drill the rotors but am gonna save that for the next one. This has been quite fun ,as well as frusrating project but it's amazing to see things transform right before your eyes. It always exceeds what my minds eye's expectation was.   Will Post some nice outdoor picks and video once it is complete.

I have to say that its been working for you. That's some mojo going on there. Can't wait to see/hear it when you have it finished. I know it probably was frustrating, but seems to have been worth it in the end.. It's all about the journey my friend!
