New Zealand bikers fight back
« on: October 30, 2009, 03:43:54 AM »
The New Zealand government is about to get a slap in the face from bike riders all over the country as riders converge on parliament to protest the proposed registration fee hikes. ;D ;D ;D

Oh the word BIKEOI is a mixture of Maori/English as the Maori word for protest march is HIKOI so we are holding a BIKEOI. :D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Go for it, maybe if enough stand up and protest it'll drive the Mrs's Grundy's out.

Yeah, here's to hoping you guys don't get sound cannoned or tear gassed like the peaceful protestors did at the G20 summit recently in Pittsburgh.

Good luck.  ;)

you'd think that our government didnt have anything better to deal with these days, ya know?

We have the same amount of injury accidents on pushbikes as we do on motorbikes in NZ but they pay no ACC levies, same with motorboats, sports etc so they are just picking on bikers cos they can.
We had 1000 bikers in Wellington (capitol city) 600 in Auckland (NZ largest city) and another 600 in Hamilton today for protest rides.
This one silly over the top issue may be just what brings this government down next election, bikers are that annoyed!

http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/top-stories/6412897/nationwide-biker-rally-protests-acc-increases/

It probably does not help the government's case that the leader of the opposition Phil Goff is a bike rider from way back in his University days. ;D

evidently they've not heard of the dangers of corn syrup. This summer we could actually
by retro pepsi and mountain dew with get this, real sugar for sweetener. Imagine that.
It seems that real sugar is safer to drink.

Yes indeed, our elected Gov Spitzer was caught with a hooker, so we now have the Lt Gov who is blind as the Gov.

So let's see. He raises the Cig Tax so now the Indians and others are costing the State about $250M in taxes.
There is a small Town in Pa on the NY and NJ border. It is less than one square mile in size and a Pop of 2000, it has 6 Cig stores, 4 of which have drive thru windows. $20 a carton cheaper than NY, and $30 cheaper than NYC. There are lines at the Drive Thus, I guess those 2000 people smoke an awful lot.
When he slaps the soda Tax, I will drive 20 Minutes to Ct and fill my trunk every couple of months. These people are stupid.

I saw an interesting programme on corn syrup a while ago, it's what the fast food take away places use in their drinks and it goes into the hamburger buns.
Apparently a lot of the obesity occuring due to fast food eating is a direct result of this corn syrup which the body cannot process so stores up as fat.

Corn syrup ???  I thought you guys were getting together for a protest ride. ;D  Anyway, good luck with it and read the labels of much of the processed food you eat.  It's in just about everything.
