block blockin'
« on: November 08, 2009, 07:52:15 AM »
I am putting my 71 cb450 cylinder block back on the crankcase but it isn't seating right. I can get it to where the cylinder skirts are about a quarter inch inside the crankcase but then it just stops. I can't figure out what is stopping it from going all the way. The pistons are out evenly and into the cylinders enough to be sure that it is not the pins that is stopping it.
Does anyone have any ideas?

If all rings are properly compressed and inside the cyliners, are any of the pistons cocked at a wierd angle?
