Too far gone...CB750
« on: December 17, 2005, 12:44:48 PM »
Looked at a CB750 today.
I don't think it would fetch $100 even on ebay!
I don't think I've ever seen such a nasty looking bike outside of a scappers yard.

Spokes rusted.
Fins on block and head smashed.
Dented up repaint.
Saddle shot.
No compression in one jug.
Nasty looking carbs.
Stock pipes rusted through.
The only nice thing about it was the blue faced guages.

Do these blue faced  guages have any value other than appealing to my esthetic sense?

Sounds like my 750 when I found it.  Only dif is my original engine has some nasty weld repairs done from the prior chain damage.  Depending on the year it might be worth more than you think.  The earlier the better.
