A little heads up would have been nice!
« on: November 03, 2009, 07:21:59 AM »
Changed my fork oil in the basement last night. Smelled so bad that it woke my wife from a dead sleep. Needless to say, she was not happy. To make matters worse, I told her if she did the laundry and dishes tomorrow morning it should make the house smell better. Good thing we have a guest bedroom  ;D

If it was the original oil, well the Japs use fishoil where ever they can and it does get a little biological smell to it...   :D

Is that true? It did smell a lot like dead fish. It was definitely the original oil. :P

Yes yes its true!  ;)

And they used high altitude (HA) Jap air in their tires. They would run a little faster that way. Did you ever notice after changing the first tire and using low altitude air it seemed to run a little slower?

Less friction or some such.

We would put a hose from tube to tube and try and save as much of the HA air as possible for the next tube.

I think someone on here is a little high themselves.  ;)

I miss those days interacting with customers across the parts counter.

Yeah, get the clean stuff west of the front range, that Denver air is pretty dirty.

Here's a handy hint you can drop on the missus when you get out of the dog box, a little old perfume added to the vacuum cleaner filter before she hoovers your shed floor will make things smell a lot nicer.
When you are allowed back in the house you can tell us how that went down as well. ;D
