what size bars do the gl1000 have? are they 7/8's like on my k4 750 or are they 1"

excellent. the guy i got my stock coils from has a gl1000 and told me he'd be willing to sell the frontend off of it, or possibly trade for one of my guitars if i cant come up with cash.

Make sure you get the correct year front end to work with your existing front wheel (75-77 spoked wheel 6 bolt discs, 78-79 Comstar, 5 bolt discs). Either can be converted to the other, but starting with a "correct" front end for your existing front wheel would be easiest. Get the axle, speedo drive, and discs if you can as they would be needed also.
The early front end has the caliper mounting lugs spaced farther apart than the later years.

it has the spoked wheels and he said he'd sell me the entire thing, brakes, wheel, everything. i'm trading my epiphone les-paul special II for it. good trade i'd say since i only paid 159 dollars for the guitar.
