CB 550 instrument panel / warning lights
« on: November 08, 2009, 06:43:58 PM »
Can someone post a few pix of the different variation and years of instrument panels / warning lights. I believe there are 2 variations, what year did they change form the square mounted on the triple to the triangle shaped between the gauges? Any difference and preferences in the gauges themselves? Thanks

here i dunno what year is what im guessing the change was around 75.... the only difference is theres only one turn indicator......... the 360 has a kinda cool indicator no oil light..... i like the bar mounted type it makes the cluster a little less busy.. im also thinking about getting rid of the tach and centering the speedo..so that might have some weight on my opinion

K3 was first to have the triangular type in 77 (not sure about F--not many about here)

Yes, K3 77-78 550s had the Triangular type.
All the F model 550s had this type, too.
The rectangular block-ish type was on K models prior to 77.

Not that it matters but I always found it odd that on the rectangled blocks, Honda changed the sequence of the idiot lights.  Anyone know which applys to which year?
