After polishing the lowers,  Installed the forks. Polished the front of the chrome frame, brakes and used some blue rub on the pipes. It's all perdy now ;D        I'll try and get the front wheel back on tomorrow.

P.S. It's so frickin nice out here that the lawn needs to be cut.   ;)

My wife Did cut the lawn while I boiled/simmered some rock hard intake manifolds in water and wintergreen oil and it worked! They are quite pliable now. Also cleaned and polished the clamps for the manifolds and intakes from the air box for my K0.
Now if I can get the smell of the wintergreen out of my nose I'll be much happier.

Replaced my ignition switch with an EMGO aftermarket unit. Works great. Tossed a new bulb in the right rear blinker.

Took a ride. That also works great!

Good luck with the EMGO switch. I went through 3 of them in a very short time. Junk! Last time it happened I was stranded a few miles from my house....(CB750K2)

I just picked up a new Honda ignition switch at the weekend.

No rides as the driveway is solid ice and way too long...

I rebuilt the front brakes on my '77 GL1000. Continued the saga of tarting up my "project 13 Cb400F".
The poor thing is down to the frame engine and wiring. Mainly just doing maintenance (that has not been done in 25 years since it was put away.) Front and rear caliper rebuilds, carbs were last fall. Just making sure everything is ready for spring. I would really like to take it to the Vintage show and race weekend at Road America this year.

Why I cannot ride on my drive way...

13 in the garage and counting...

K4 - cleaned the front caliper as it was sluggish. I think I will do the K1 & KO in the near future too. Been waiting a week for Honda to get me my seals.

Stripped and sanded the side covers and headlamp bucket, gathered the materials to make a new connecting rod for the rear brake and finished removing the bearings and cleaned up both hubs. PO packed grease even though the bearings I removed were the sealed type. lol

I used three different ones. There was a selection of 5 different compounds but only needed the last 3 in the set since the first 2 were for hard metals.

Got the calipers, front fender mount, and chain guard from the powdercoater last Friday and yesterday got the rear brake put together and on. Maybe the front ones tommorrow? Midterms and papers due this week and next, but after that it's spring break, so I'd like to ride.

i like the avatar jordan, i was factory certified on beemers a few years ago, i caught the grateful dead reference too  ;D

i glared at fuzzycycle through the window of the shed trying to remember if i had enough gasoline left over to burn it  :D  it just quit running on #3 and i'm a touch frustrated with it at this point.

I did some more work, etching on my tank with a diamond ball on the end of a dremel.

so here it is.

I'm not a professional artist and I messed up in a few spots, but I think it came out ok for my first try etching something.
