got the tank back on, running on all 4 cylinders! YAY!   :)

after stopping the engine, 4th carb overflowed about 3-4 oz of fuel.     ??? ??? ???   got the bowl off, cleaned up some gunk.  sprayed cab cleaner all over.  (i just rebuilt the carbs, so i shouldn't have any of that gunk stuff in my carb, but i guess it came from the gas tank.  that means, i might need to get other bowls off and clean them, too.   :-\ :-\ :-\ )  i ran it again, no more overflowing.   ;D ;D ;D

while i was at it, i installed a fuel filter.  (which i guess i should have done before putting the tank back on.)

You might start another thread here and post a photo of it along with any frame/engine numbers.
Members here and forum guests could at least keep an eye out for it.......

I'd be posting on local & Cali bike forums as well.   Good luck :'(

This time it's what I didn't I do... I saw a new/unused wire loom on ebay for the CL350 twin K0. I watched it and at 15 min left, it was at $55. I came back when it was closing and it ended up going for over $180!  :o
Btw, you can still get them from Honda for around $75. WTF are people thinking?  ???  ::)

I really like the looks of that Terry. Pfft. and here I am just trying to clean the 40 years of crud out of my fins and everywhere else from the POs.

No hands on work on it for a while, I think. Still collecting parts as we can afford it. No overtime at work means no parts. I never though I'd look forward to overtime. I may have to find a side gig. Any of you guys need a personal x-ray tech?  :D

Thanks Mickey, and yeah, I'd love a personal X Ray tech, but hey, I thought all you medical professionals were rolling in the old "dough-ray-me"? I had some X Rays done a few weeks ago and the tech told me that she was having aproblem with her son using her new 7 series BMW and trashing it, she bought him a new Range Rover but he prefers the BMW, and wanted to take it away to their holiday home on the beach with all his University buddies and leave her with the Range Rover? I quite liked her, (she was a bit of a "Cougar") but I really couldn't feel too sorry for her, as I walked back to my 14 year old Hyundai.............  ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

It's funny you say that Terry. We have some friends in Perth who keep telling us to move down under because we can make insane amounts of $$. I checked it out and couldn't believe how much you guys make down there. #$%*! Here... an xray tech makes anywhere from $14-28/hour. Depending on what part of the country and cost of living and what modalities they are registered in. No, I'm not making tons but I make enough to pay my bills. I really can't wait for Kit to get done with school though.  ;)

So, I looked out at the rain and sat back down on the couch and logged into the net to take care of other things today. The bikes will wait. The bank won't.  :-\

I haven't had chance to get near a bike all week  :(, but managed to get out last sunday for a ride  8), nice sunny day but cold managed a round trip through 3 different counties of 120 odd miles  :), roads were nice and dry but dusty from the salt and still plenty of snow on the hills  ;)

i stared out the window at the bike, under it's cover through the driving rain storm. then i closed my eyes, imagined a nice sunny day and made engine sounds with my lips

I got home from work last night and it was a nice 75 or so degrees, so I jumped on my Yoshimura Suzuki GS1000E and went for a quick ride, this bike has been sitting for the last couple of years due to a faulty ignition, but I've just installed a NOS Martek 440 ignition I scored on EBay for 50 bucks, so it's going like a scorched cat now. I saw God at 140 MPH on my favorite section of road, and he wished me a happy 50th birthday as I streaked past him, and reminded me that I should probably run better than 20 PSI in each tire at those kinds of speeds, oops, sorry God!

Tonight I decided that seeing as I'm picking up a (slightly damaged) K2 with an 836cc F2 engine and a cool 32mm CV carb conversion and a ton of spares tomorrow, I'd better clean up my garage. I had to re-arrange all my bikes, and in the process I fired up most of them and took them for a short ride each. Anyway, the garage is clean enough now, and ready to receive another "fat four", woohoo! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Installed the rear brake assembly in the frame and installed the swing arm. Discovered it's the wrong brake rod - dammit!

K4 - got the headlight bucket wiring squared away. I was a bit concerned as I switched out the left and right handlebar switches with some that appeared mint from a parts bike I got with 4,700 miles on it. They looked new inside and out so I swapped them. Today all testing went well.

sanded, primered and painted the viper fairing after riding with it on there for a week to see if i wanted it on the bike. hit all hte polished aluminum and chrome with nevr-dull to keep things looking nice, this is the first motorcycle i've owned that i've felt that this was necessary.  i also waxed the tank and side covers and airtech seat. of course all that polishing and cleaning made it rain  :P

I felt sad and guilty and vowed to go out and play with the bikes over spring break... but too much studying and homework to do right now...
